The 54th Carter Lake Open Regatta is less than 2 weeks away! (Posted: 2013-04-23)
Register for the Open here: https://www.regattanetwork.com/clubmgmt/applet_registration_form.php?regatta_id=6202
The notice of race is here: http://www.sailcarter.org/content/racing/152_1.pdf
On the first weekend in June (that makes it pretty easy to remember), Carter Lake Sailing Club will be celebrating it's 60th anniversary and hosting it's 54th Annual Open Regatta. We are expecting a great turnout this year and are excitedly looking forward to the return of dinghy racing in the Open. If you have questions or would like to help organize or run the event please contact Cindy (cindy_klyn@yahoo.com) or myself (tim_klynn@yahoo.com).
If you are traveling to Carter from another lake, register early especially if you want one of the free camping spots and/or slips that we have reserved for our out of town race participants. We don't have many free spots, so don't delay. If you miss out on our free sites, there are other Larimer County Parks sites available, but these fill up early as well. You can find additional camping at the nearby commericial campground south of Windjammer bar (an easy walk from the lake or clubhouse). Camping is encouraged, as one of our club members band is playing at the Windjammer and it could end up being a late one.....
If you haven't sailed at Carter in a while and would like to get in a little pre Regatta practice, you are welcome to join us for racing on any of the club races at any time. Check the schedule under the "Racing" tab on the left of the homepage for more info. I'll start posting the SI's after the racers meeting this weekend.
