Membership FAQs

What does Carter Lake Sailing Club have to offer?

Carter Lake Sailing Club (CLSC) is a sailing club like no other in the state of Colorado.  We maintain a very active Racing and Social schedule, a successful Jr.Sailing Program, a Jr.Race Team, and a Safety and Education program.  The diversity and success of CLSC is due to the volunteerism of club members, and our wonderful facilities maintained by club members.

Amenities offered by CLSC include: Sunfish boats, secured slips and docks, dinghy and kayak storage racks, 2 campsites with electrical hook-ups, a fully equipped clubhouse with wi-fi, large covered deck overlooking the lake, barbecue grill, children’s play area, and fire pit.  The clubhouse can be reserved at no cost to a club member for family and social gatherings.

Annual Memberships are based on our seasonal year from March 15th until March 14th of the following year.  CLSC’s season on the lake is always April through September with a possible extended season through October.  Slips are often put in within the last two weeks of March and taken out the last week of October.  CLSC provides additional activities throughout the off-season including movie nights, pot-lucks, training seminars, a fall awards banquet and a winter membership banquet.  Members also take advantage of the networking opportunities within the club and develop working, social, special interests, and travelling relationships.
